Contributions At Work: New Works Initiative

Your contributions to Ballet Arizona’s New Works Initiative support the creative vision of Artistic Director Ib Andersen and expand the repertoire for the Company. This funding is crucial to the development of our dancers through classical and modern productions, adding a diverse element to both the selection of each season’s productions as well as their performance locations.

New Works Initiative Impact:

  • Brings dance to NEW locations like Desert Botanical Garden
  • Provides choreographers a flexible environment to create NEW ballets
  • Builds a diverse and interesting repertory
  • Contributes to the advancement of ballet as an art form

Last season, you helped us complete a $50,000 five-year grant challenge that was matched dollar-for-dollar by an anonymous donor. Together, we raised a total of $500,000 spanning five years to support the New Work Initiative. You also enabled Ballet Arizona to produce and perform new contemporary works at Desert Botanical Garden through 2020.

Join us as Topia returns to Desert Botanical Garden May 23 – June 10, 2017!
